Strength and Balance: More than you think

August 28, 2024
Two clients are pictured standing behind black chairs, each with an exercise physiologist next to them.

Thank you to the trend setters that joined the brand new Strength and Balance class last month. There were a lot of smiles, laughs and excitement as the group worked on increasing their balance and strength.

“I loved the first class! The instructor Ben is great and I’m already using some of the things I learnt at home,” says Stacey, one of the first participants. “Strength and Balance might sound like it’s an exercise and weight loss class, but it’s not that. It has really helped me build my strength which is so important as a cane user and Guide Dog handler.”

The Strength and Balance class is run by Ben, a qualified exercise physiologist from Green Apple. Ben is passionate about helping clients build their stamina and strength in ways that suit their individual needs. “Every client is unique, and it’s important to me that their journey to a stronger body is suited to their individual needs. Nothing makes me happier than to see a client realise how strong they have become over time. Most clients are quite surprised when they realise it.”

The Strength and Balance class runs on a Friday from 12:30 to 2:30pm which is straight after the Mosaic class. Clients who also attend the Mosaic class often make a day of the classes. We’d love you to join us, bring a lunch and enjoy some social time between classes too!
