This month in the Queensland Disability Action Plan 2022-2027, we discuss the fourth key outcome area: personal and community support.

This outcome area is focused on ensuring people with disability have access to a range of supports to assist them to live independently and engage in their communities.

This includes ensuring the National Disability Insurance Scheme provides eligible people with permanent and significant disability with access to reasonable and necessary disability supports.

It also encompasses supporting and acknowledging the vital role of informal support, and ensuring people with disability are supported to access assistive technology.

To find out more about how this outcome area will be implemented, visit the Queensland Disability Action Plan here.
