The hearts and hands behind Guide Dogs

February 03, 2018

Behind every Guide Dog you help us raise is a talented team who invest a huge amount of effort, love and time to help them make the grade.

An important part of this team are the Trainers and Guide Dog Mobility Instructors, who spend hours training, assessing and shaping each dog.

Thanks to your ongoing support, we have been able to create three new Guide Dog Mobility Instructor cadetships. Not only will this help fulfil the needs for new Guide Dog teams across the state now, but will sustain us into the future to meet the increasing demand for Guide Dogs in the community.

We’re excited to introduce the three team members, Jason, Kerree and Claire who will be undertaking these newly created roles. Over the next 18 months they will learn everything they need to know about what it takes to create successful Guide Dog partnerships.
