Legally blind since her early 50s, she mentors others adjusting to vision loss, empowering them to build confidence and independence. Through initiatives such as the Fraser Coast Low Vision and Blind Community group, Eclipse: Dinner in the Dark, and the regional Disability Expo, Joanne continues to inspire Australians with low vision to live fully and embrace every opportunity.
