Our Guide Dogs are carefully trained and matched to suit each handler’s individual needs, lifestyle and personality.

Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapists can help you find practical ways to complete everyday activities with greater confidence and independence.

Support may include developing strategies for tasks around the home, accessing the community, studying, working or continuing to enjoy the activities that matter to you.

Psychological Assistance Dogs

Guide Dogs Queensland is also developing a Psychological Assistance Dog service for people living with a formal PTSD diagnosis.

These specially trained dogs can learn tasks designed to help alleviate symptoms of PTSD and support greater confidence, independence and participation in everyday life.
