PUPtober is spreading the puppy love
Puppy love will be the word on the street next month as IGA stores across the state are filled with adorable Guide Dogs!
Guide Dogs Queensland and IGA are partnering to again transform October into a puppy-filled PUPtober, giving you the opportunity to easily show your suppawt for Guide Dogs by picking up some adorable collection cards during your weekly shop.
Six limited edition puppy cards will be available for $2 each in IGA stores across Queensland throughout the month, with all proceeds raised going towards supporting our work in your local community.
Guide Dogs Queensland CEO Michael Kightley said PUPtober gives the community the chance to rally together and make a difference by helping future Guide Dogs.
“During the month of PUPtober, everyone in the community has a chance to be part of the Guide Dog journey,” Mr Kightley said.
“Each collector card available at IGA shows the story of a different puppy on their journey to becoming a life-changing Guide Dog, including how they’re making a difference today.
“These cards represent many more young puppies who are currently going through the Guide Dog training program and need the support of the community to become the next generation of guiding eyes.”
After raising over $52,000 during PUPtober last year, we hope the funds raised this PUPtober will reach $100,000 to almost double the suppawt for Queenslanders in need!
You can lend a helping hand (or paw!) by collecting all the Guide Dogs cards or making a donation at your local IGA store.
