This month in the Queensland Disability Action Plan 2022-2027, we discuss the seventh and final key outcome area: community actions.

This outcome area is focused on cultivating community attitudes that support equality, inclusion and participation in society for people with disability.

To implement this outcome area employers will be encouraged to highlight the value of the contribution people with disability make to the workforce and recognise the benefits of employing people with disability.

Key professional workforces will also be expected to confidently and positively respond to people with disability.

Organisations and communities will also be encouraged to increase representation of people with disability in leadership roles.

Lastly, work will also be done to improve community attitudes to positively impact on the Policy Priorities under the Strategy.
