Thanks for making PAWGUST a howling success!

February 15, 2019

A huge tail wagging, cheek licking, belly scratching thank you from the whole pack at Guide Dogs.

Our inaugural national fundraising event, PAWGUST, was a huge success, with thousands of Australians taking part. In total, supporters raised a whopping $596,126! The money raised will help train 11 Guide Dogs across Australia. Cartoon of different dog breeds running on an orange background.

For the month of August (affectionately renamed PAWGUST), participants can be found taking to the streets with their pooch. They are asked to walk 30 minutes a day for 30 days – that’s roughly 2km every day.

By taking part and asking your family and friends to sponsor you by way of donations, you won’t just be helping people who are blind or vision impaired gain their independence and mobility, you will also be improving your own physical and mental health to ensure you sustain a happier, healthier life in the future.

PAWGUST is the paw-fect excuse to get active and spend quality time with your furry friends, all the while supporting Guide Dogs and people in need.

Hector saved Louise.

Three years ago, it was a miracle they survived. Now, the Miracle Litter are saving lives themselves.
